In Chinchilla's cultural precinct you'll find the Lapunyah Art Gallery, Chinchilla, a regional Art Gallery which hosts up to 20 exhibitions a year. Located in Chinchilla's main streety the gallery is recognised as a warm and welcoming space for exibiting artists and visitors alike. Lapunyah has a changing program of local and tourism exhibitions spread across two gallery spaces, the Heartwood Gallery and Outer Bark Gallery.
Managed by a team of dedicated volunteers the gallery works to increase the profile of local artists as well as providng thought provoking contemporary exhibitions for the community.
The Lapuyah Art Gallery holds images of local Acacia and Fungi by Grace Lithgow and works by significatn artist such as Hugh and Anthony Sawrey, Rec Bacchus-smith, Tom McAulay, John Morrison and Paul Chingbor.
The Art Gallery is managed by a volunteer committee and its operations are supported by Western Downs Regional Council. For more information or to confirm opening hours on the day of your visit, please call the gallery.
